Draw Me A Story is a series of 35 age-appropriate folk tales, fairy tales and fables. While some are well known and were written (or collected) by European authors such as Hans Christian Andersen, Oscar Wilde and the Brothers Grimm, others reflect the folk culture of regions as diverse as Africa and Australia.
The story visuals, composed of paint, oils, chalk, clay, fabric, and other artistic elements are a striking feature of these programs. Voice-over narration, thematic music and the artist's hands creating the images combine to bring each classic tale to colorful life.
By clicking on the Theacher's Guide tab on each Draw Me A Story tale, teachers can download the story itself in "book" form, to give young viewers an enhanced reading experience. As well the tab includes drawings that can be printed and then coloured.
