World Food Day - Politics of Hunger: What's at Stake?

Conversation with Dr. Kiene

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations celebrates World Food Day in commemoration of its founding on that day in 1945 at Quebec City, Canada. The theme for World Food Day and TeleFood campaign for 2004 is "Biodiversity for Food Security".

Dr. Werner Kiene, World Food Program representative to the Bretton Woods Institutions (World Bank and IMF), will be the special guest on the program. Dr. Kiene brings broad knowledge of the policymaking process and worldwide practical experience from a lifetime spent in working on economic and social programs, especially in the developing world.
