Underwater Welding (Segment)

De la série « Driving Force »

In the past welding was considered to be low-skill types of job, but technology, high demand and the possibility of six-figure incomes have changed the picture. Underwater welding is one subspecialty, represented here by Mark Edwards – and by Paulene Edwards, who acquired her interest in welding when she was a BFA student of sculpture at Queen's University. Welding teacher Jonathan Bennett explains how underwater welding can be accomplished, while video sequences show the challenges that underwater welding can present.
